4-pot was used due to weight restraints. Nobody will argue a 4-pot is lighter than a 6-pot, right? It's not a 1.500kg 350HP flagship. It's a 900kg and 240HP flagship. And nobody will argue that's what Alfa was doing in their best post-war days. 'Make a car more powerful and it will be faster on a straight. Make it lighter, it will be faster anywhere'.

The Giulia GTAm has a 4-pot engine and nobody will argue it was a capable sports car for its time...

Ron Simons would suggest that for learning how to drive a 75 Twin Spark is a better car than a V6 because it's better balanced and hence more neutral.

Even the S Class has a 4-pot engine.

That said, I would expect Alfa to pack a V6 in the Giulia hopefully. And make it sound exactly like the new Ghibli :).

The engine in an Z4 won't be massively different than that from a 3 series, the i8 (the first super car BMW have built this millenia) has a 3 cyclinder engine for fucks sake!

A bit like the supposed new Nissan 3cylinder 400 HP turbo
But of course there's speculation that this 400 HP engine talk is all marketing Bullshit and photoshop.
and of course who knows who starts the rumours ?
likely to be GM / Ford / Toyota etc - Anyone but Alfa/FIAT? Chrysler - how much of all this can we believe untill the product is seen.

Would like to see the Nissan Delta at Lemans tho, and hear how it really goes - electric or fossil fuel
my bet is it retires with engine / software problems or gets crashed into.

Ooops sorry, thread hijack.
Back to the 4C
