Anyone else seen this?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-Alfa-Rom ... SwCU1YsATP

Only 54k miles and complete respray, drivers seat more worn than mine was at 100k+ before I replaced it, no engine bay shots, and nothing about history, or no of owners.
Seems completely genuine to me??

I've seen this in the last week or so. There was also a Turbo up for sale in London not so long back - looked like it had been toyed with a bit. Could still be on Car & Classic. Was on eBay before that. Both have strong asking prices nevertheless.

Not much to tell from it I agree. However, you do get some freshly brewed coffee if you visit the showroom so maybe that makes up for the lack of information. :D. If you watch the video, you do get a look at the engine bay. Looks clean on a small screen!

And within hrs of my post, its MOT history has appeared
So the first 3yrs, guess first owner, only did 5K miles a yr??
If so well looked after, why a full respray?
And where are original wheels?
I'm not saying its not genuine, just not convinced myself, it just seems ........odd
And why video the stereo? I've got my original somewhere in the garage, would have thought this would have been better

The video of the stereo is funny. It reminds of owners of GTV's who always get that in. It is one thing about mine I hate and I just put it into the glove box. My original on the 75 is installed and completely useless. I agree with you though - having the MOT's is great, but it would be nice to have some information on items outside of the service stamps and MOT stamps.

Maybe just me, but I take service stamps with a pinch of salt even if it is a dealer or a large independent. It's good, but not the be all and end all. Proof is in the pudding and the previous owners account. The best Alfa's I have bought have usually come with a number of spare and old parts. With the 75 I even got a book, receipts previous owners had collected on work they had done themselves etc. Even if it was a replacement washer motor as a quick weekend job.

Maybe us Alfa owners are just a peculiar bunch. :D
